Default What bag of tricks is hidden in the instrument cluster of an 2012 F-150 Platinum 5.0

I am trying to decipher what to press or hold to make changes on my 2011 5.0L Platinum.
Like my Key.
What to press for off roading.
what to press to when i go to the track....most of that stuff is not coverd in the owners manual.

Regards,
JM

Reading through the threads i just learned that if you hold the Trac Control button till it flashes a few time it deactivates the Traction Control completely.

Look, I am coming from an 01 5.4L supercrew 4x4 to an 2011 F-150 5.0L Platinum...a lot has changed from my old truck to this new truck with all the digital stuff that came with the truck....I have searched this board for almost a week and get bits of info.

All of that info is in your owners manual. I came from a 07 5.4 also but learned everything I wanted to know about the truck from a simple reading of the owners manual. The traction control procedure that you just posted is in the manual

The tuners that people like are the Livernois and the SCT

The CAI that people like are Araid, AFE or Injen

Search the forum there is a ton of information.

Hey Geno looks like you are this guys personal "go to" for information from now on. He would be amazed at what the owners manual and searching the Internet could find for him. Lol

Yeah I saw that and found it weird too that he recommend the Roush but doesn't know what CAI or tune to get. Not sure why he would be trolling.. Maybe just newbie who is learning and I hate to be "that guy" who says to read the manual or use the search function. But I have learned to start ignoring the daily "which leveling kit is best" and "will these tires fit" threads that I see every single gosh darn picking day..
