I also asked her if there was an approved method to clean the intake valves and she mentioned a new method where they use chemicals to melt the junk off of them. Its not a warranty repair but a maintenance charge. 260$?
Last thing she mentioned was something they do on the 5.4's. They put a detergent additive in the oil and run the vehicle for a while. It cleans the crud out then they flush out the detergent and change the oil like normal. She recommended it for the eco, anyone done this? I know its not a new method, just curious if anyone here has done it.

Use as fuel, oil, and top end treatment and cost around $7 a can. Pour into your fuel system to clean it, not sure if it works better than Lucas FI cleaner though. Remove a vacuum hose to suck into intake to use it as a top end cleaner and pour into oil before an oil change to clean the bottom end up. Stuff is wonderful. Buy it and don't let the Stealership hustle you man. GM been using Sea Foam for years bottled as Delco Top End cleaner

I got the truck back this morning. All seems to be good. I read the service write up and Ill pop the hood later today and peak around a little. Glad to have a good dealership.

Still weighing my options. I have heard the rattle on mine only a few times and I'm at 104k. I'm always listening on cold starts. She runs great so I'm not too worried at this time.

This is a very loud startup rattle that lasts for a few seconds.
