Twin Turbo Coyote powered 5.0 F150
Thought I would start a dedicated thread to document the build progress on my soon to be turbocharged F150. Late last year I bought this 4x4 truck with 2900 miles. Its a 2013 STX 4x4. The previous owner had lowered it, installed caltracks, and added a lot of custom touches to the truck. When I got the truck, I loved everything but the power. Coming from a tuned Ecoboost F150, I really missed the low end torque and power that I had become accustomed to. When I found out that EDP, a local turbo shop was looking to get into the F150 business I contacted them and offered up my truck. Here are some of the pictures that were taken of the truck over the last couple years and the turbo build progress so far. I'm beyond excited!!!

How are you dealing with the heat from those exhaust tubes? Are they going to get wrapped?

Uhm, WOW.. I am not worthy.
There's a guy with a built Screw 5.0 that takes Corvettes. So you're going to hanging with some high-end cars and walking every Tremor out there.
How are you going to change the spark plugs? What else is happening with the engine? When is going to be done?
The rest of the truck is beautiful right down to the glossy side mirrors and pillars.

I must give credit where credit is due. Wayne (Z7What) probably knows more about this truck than I do since he did most of the customizing for Joe. Thanks for all the photos you sent me.
The turbine housings will get heat shields and the down pipes will get wrapped. For now the engine and transmission are going to stay stock. I might put in a trans-brake. The factory converter should stall pretty good if the turbos spool low enough. The turbos were chosen specifically for low RPM engine response. Hellion had done a decent amount of research on twin turbo Coyote engines and we sourced turbos with a specific exhaust turbine for our application.
The spark plugs will be easy. Because the turbo is mounted with 2 V-bands they can be disconnected and set out of the way easily. I will be checking the plugs quite often after the build so I will keep you updated on this topic.
Fuel system will use ID1000 injectors and JMS BAP. I think this should let us reach our goals running E85.
I am hoping to go slightly faster than 11.49 here in Denver on street tires. If we go faster we will probably get a warning from the track for not having a roll bar and have to back it down a bit. I am thinking of using a Boost Leash that I can use to toggle the boost up or down.
Thanks for all the compliments and responses!!
