Wow...simple question and no real answer?
I just saw a manual boost controller for the EB F150 @ American Muscle for $49...Looks like an adjustable vacuum control...So I came here to see if anyone has tried it...just like the originator of this whole thread...
I tried to wade thru the 15 pages of responses but never saw a real answer....Has ANYONE actually tried one? Results?
Thanks!

Why modify the Ecoboost when there are better options???
I was just browsing some ecoboost threads and came upon this one, pretty dated I realize but what do all of the ECO haters have to say now? There (seems to me) is a bigger performance and aftermarket world for the eco than any of the other F150 engines, and anyone looking for serious modifications goes with the ecoboost than the other engine options..... I could be wrong, but in my personal experience and in my area, (I travel for work but everywhere from the UP of Michigan to South Mississippi and everywhere in between east of the Mississippi River) the Ecoboost is the way to go if you are you looking to modify an F150 for performance reasons..... Just my “protagonistic” two cents.....

You can get aftermarket blocks, cranks, rods, pistons, heads, cams, intake manifolds, throttle bodies, injectors, air intakes, headers, cat backs, turbochargers, and superchargers for the 5.0. So no, I wouldn't say the eb has a bigger aftermarket.

That was quicker than I thought! I was really wondering how long it would take for someone to get all puffed up, even though you didn’t understand what I said..... I said nothing about what parts are sold or available, I said aftermarket WORLD, meaning the community, the people, the parts, the trucks out there with the parts.... You’re talking about an engine that is also available in an INSANELY popular car, of course there are going to be aftermarket parts galore, but I can guarantee there are more ecoboost trucks running around with an intake, tuner, and exhaust than there are 5.0 trucks with aftermarket blocks, rods, and pistons, that was the point I was making....

Also check out super six Motorsports, they have heads, cams, valve springs, even factory valve spring “boosters”, arp fasteners, upper and lower intake plenums/manifolds, cranks, rods, Pistons, even a complete stroker kit for the Ecoboost..... http://www.supersixmotorsports.com/

Technically, it took 0 seconds since you "puffed up" in your very first post. Or was that your first post? How many accounts do you have?

It’s actually very clearly stated, performance and aftermarket world.... now you’re talking about social media groups, horsepower numbers, and a totally different auto maker.... all to puff out your chest and try to prove a point. It’s hilarious to me!
I have ONE account and I just created it last night because I saw a post from 2011 about people thinking it was so crazy or weird to want to modify the Ecoboost, now here we are in 2018 and modifying the Ecoboost is just as mainstream as any other engine on the road.
I just thought it was funny that someone immediately had to try to prove me wrong, even though the original post was STRICTLY Ecoboost related all these other people have to chime in pound their chest and try rain on someone’s parade.... I have an Ecoboost, my second one, I don’t even read posts about 5.0s, because I don’t have one, much less do I go into 5.0 threads talking smack about how much better my Ecoboost is.
Im sure there are PLENTY of 5.0 trucks over 500 horsepower, great for them, the Ecoboost makes 470ftlb of torque stock.... The Ecoboost is a faster truck than the 5.0 truck, add 100 horsepower to them both and the Ecoboost will still be faster, because it’s faster in stock form..... we could sit and bicker and argue back and forth all day, but at the end of the day I’m still going to like the Ecoboost better and you’re still going to like whatever you like better, that’s just how we work, but we don’t have to go around LOOKING to start something.... I posted a pro-Ecoboost post on an Ecoboost related thread, what did you do?
