Default fx4 ecoboost bumping/missing at stop

i have a 2011 fx4 ecoboost, when i come to a stop, while in drive and foot on the brake it feels like my truck feels like its getting bumped by something.it almost feels like a miss,or like its trying to go with my foot on the brake, feels just like someone bumped into me.truck runs smooth except for this, idle is smooth tach needle doesnt appear to move during the bump/miss feeling.has anyone else experienced this?any info would be helpful.it seems to do it more when its cold but it has done it while at operating temp.thanks all!!!

Take to dealer and get it relashed. Mine now skips 2nd gear when coming to a stop. 3 down to 1. Before when it hit 2nd it would bump like someone nudged me from behind

Mine does, occasionally feels like someone is running into you after being stopped for several seconds, and I've determined it's the slip yoke where the driveshaft connects to the transfer case. Does your truck clunk when you let off the brake? If so, you may also have this issue. My dealer is working with ford to try to come up with a fix.

There is also a flash like the previous poster mentioned for shifting at low speeds. That may fix your problem if you don't have a slip yoke issue.

I have had the Tranny reflash done already,it skips 2nd gear on down shifts, the bump I'm feeling happens after I've come to a complete stop and trans has shifted to 1st.takes a few seconds for it to do it after I stop, and sometimes it does it several times while I'm stopped ,in gear, foot on brake.

Pretty sure this is normal. Some of my other cars do this (Acura TL).

It now skips 2nd because of the reflash. That was fords fix for the 2nd gear bump when coming to a stop. Imo these trannys have some weird tendencies when up and down shifting period

Sounds like the slip yoke to me. It has nothing to do with the transmission. You can search google or even this forum and find plenty of info on the slip yoke clunk. Problem is that there is not a fix for it. Ford will grease it but that only fixed mine for a few days.

I'm on an Ipad and can't figure out how to link another thread here.

Search; Slip Yoke??? In the 09 and up forum, there is a thread that will answer your questions.
