Turbo problems

Well after roughly 42,000kms one turbo apparently had to be replaced. I'd noticed a small fluttering sound coming from driver side of truck under acceleration. Usually around 2000-2500rpm when under load. Wasn't a bad sound, nothing like some of the sounds I've heard in other peoples vids. Closest way I can describe it is like an exhaust or intake leak, almost like a card in spokes if that makes sense. After cleaning the filter I noticed some oil seeping around charge air lines of turbo so I figured I'd bring it to the local dealership. Long story short they changed out the turbo, cleaned out the CAC yet apparently it still makes the noise. Anyone else hear/see this type of thing? Another question is aren't these turbos repairable or are they just replaced like a lot of parts nowadays?

Sorry guys, my phone kept telling me it wasn't working because it was a duplicate thread. Just tried changing the title. Please delete/remove the other two.

Yeah it happens sometimes with one of the site apps.

No worries, no hard feelings. Just throwing it out there to see if anyone else has had this type of sound, I've looked on the internet but all the other turbo problems sound like grinding/screeching. This sounds nothing like that. Up to this point I've really enjoyed driving this truck, and other than this I would say it's the best engine in a gas truck I've ever driven. I would also like to know if you can repair these turbos or if the dealership that did the work was just changing parts and hoping for the best as the sound was still there after changing the turbo.

The dealer won't rebuild the turbos, but will maybe ship them to a rebuild facility. I also get noises that concern me but the truck is running fine and am not sure I would trust my dealer to do anything complex on my truck.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too, just leave it and see if it changes or gets worse. I didn't think they'd change a turbo though! Oh well, guess I'll know better for next time.

Truck year? 11/12 or 13? The oil sounds like normal blow by. Failed turbos generaly sound like a faint dentist drill at max boost.

'12 yeah this was no screechy/growly bad bearing sound. Thinking now I should've just left it and waited if it changed or increased.
