TSB 12-6-4 Intercooler Fix Poll
#4
My #2 injector replacement did 14 times better then the IC mod. I got the best fuel economy last tank. Mine doesnt shudder at 55 mph with 20's. how hard r u guys rolling into it? Hill or flat? I live in the hill country and power right up them at 50 mph.

Still there but reduced...
Had the 12-6-4 applied, just the shield and the reflash of the PCM. The shift points are much smoother now(I like). The shield reduces the likelihood of condensation by blocking air apparently if you were marginally accumulating. Though if you are in a humid area and at the dewpoint for extended periods(45 minutes) of time with no throttle modulation(cruise control) then perform a hard acceleration you will still get a misfire/loss of power. This must be due to a design issue with the intercooler since other intercoolers out there endure the same environment. Mine is probably one of the more humid at 6 -7 am in Central Florida right before the sunrises.

TSB 12-6-4 was performed without the shield on 8/20/2012. So far the dew point has not come close enough to air temp to determine if this fixed it or not. The hurricane east of here has sucked all the moisture out of SE Texas for now.
Once the dew point and air temp become close to 1/1 again, and I have a chance to "test it" on the highway...........if it still does it, I will get rid of the truck without any delay. It has been almost a year now and it should have been fixed by now.

I didn't vote before as it was not cool enough for me to see if it fixed it...well apparently it didn't as every day the temps have fallen into the mid 50's or less it has happened.
My sales guy came into our office this morning as he sold somebody else a truck with the 5.0. Assured me he sent the email I sent him over to service with what I described and when it happens.
