I'm not sure about anyone else but I can create the problem all the time, where most say it is only after driving continually at highway speeds.
If you can create it all the time, it's probably something else. Some who have been able to get it to stumble 'at will' found a plug with a cracked insulator or a bad coil to be the culprit.

Mine is in the shop now for the new intercooler, new cat, reprogramed, the whole nine yards. 2012 18k miles. My truck never surged/ misfired/stumbled/or any of the other problems people have mentioned. It simply felt slower, got poor fuel mileage and the engine light came on. To be honest, it was not that noticeable. Bad news is intercooler is back ordered 3 weeks.

I know for sure all plugs are good because I pulled them all recently ad tapped them all to .34 and they werent over tightened when installed. However doing this made no change in how it ran.

One other thing is, I have 10,600 miles on it and since new I have only once gotten over 17mpg on the highway and that was doing 68 MPH with a 25mph tailwind pushing me the entire way. Last night I actually drove 200 miles cruise set at 75 I averaged 12.7 with about a 5mph headwind.

So far I am not pleased wet this ecoboost one bit!

I had TSB 12-10-19 performed a month ago. Since TSB incorporation my truck has less power. It is slower on acceleration and it has less torque. A soon a i hit gas pedal or while climbing a hill it always downshift from 1,2 or 3 gears and rev. up to 4000 rpm. Under a light acceleration i automatically heard a leak from both dump valve. I bring it back to dealer and they confirmed that it is due to the new PCM software.

I am interested in post TSB power comments as I am waiting for the dealership to recieve my replacement CAC,( but I am still able to drive it). I have a 2013 Screw (build date 8/12)I traded in my daily driver, and sold my 2000 f-350 7.3 PSD as this would also be my tow vehicle. A significant loss of Torque will not be acceptable (one of the big reasons I went EB!). Your exerience post update are greatly appreciated, especially from those of you who tow.

That is unacceptable and afraid that is the response I may get. What have you told them?

Hi I am new to this forum....anyway I have a 2012 F150 XLT XTR...Ecoboost..4x4..3.55 locker...I had the dreaded fall on your face happen and went to local dealer ,who were very good...they put the guard on the Icooler and did a reflash of the PCM.....that was in Sept...then in early Nov. I told them that the same thing happened again...they ordered a new CAC and installed it on Dec.27...relashed the PCM to 12-10-19....took about 1hr...I picked the truck up and first impressions were truck was much more responsive....fuel mileage improved on the highway...have not seen the sooty buildup on my chrome tailtip since the reflash...truck has plenty of power and has not exhibited the fall on your face symptoms since....so far so good
