Good luck with whatever your pulling, I just don't understand why you would want to risk mechanical issues/failures with your truck. I assume your out of warranty. If your pulling a float in a parade then ok, a tractor type pull. WHY? But its your wallet so have at it!!

Its no different than drag racing, mudding, offroading or any other extreme use of our trucks. You just do what you do and have to know that you pay to play.

Pulling a 10k trailer with a F150 over 3k miles would be considered dumb also.(summer especially) This is why they make the Super Duty to handle the real big jobs not maxing out a little half ton to its extremes, can you do it? Yep. Sort of like the guy who took his raptor and jumped a huge hill and landed and busted up his truck. Raptor was not a Baja 100 truck. Anything anyone does with there truck is up to them, too many times people do things like lift kits,mods,tunes,etc...and extreme sports and come on here and blame Ford, just don't come crying when something fails or breaks. Its America, freedom to do anything you want with your truck!! Enjoy and Have Fun!!

And quite frankly, you dont see many 100% stock trucks busting stuff too often. It does happen but its when you put down a lot of power with grabby wheels and a modified suspension that you see the fun stuff happen. Watch the videos of guys with rear lift blocks smoke a driveshaft or ujoint because the axle torques and hops. My truck ran out traction way before stressing out much of the drivetrain or suspension.

Thanks for all the great info guys. I'm going to give it a shot wednesday and see how it does. I do have a leveling kit and 33" Nitto Terra grappler tires so traction should be a bit better than stock. I also will have a 93 octane livernois tune in it, their 170 t-stat, and maybe an exhaust. (looking at ordering that shortly). Im also assuming i should launch it with the rear locker engauged because it is a FX4? Ill have my girlfriend try to take a video of it and post if for you guys!
