Tremor 1/4 mile updates

For those who didn't see the other thread Buddy went back to the track with the tremor. Bone stock it went 14.3 with 2.0 60ft. It was about 45* outside . Truck has bad wheel hop so it's hard to build boost for a good launch. This week he got in mpt custom 93 tune. Other than that all stock and ran 13.4 @99mph with 2.0 60ft. And temp outside was about 70* Not too bad for tune only and not bein able to launch hard. And for the video ...sorry for the crappy quality (I didn't film this one) and let's just say the guy in the 5.0 in a idiot and can not drive. Thank god he didn't hit the truck (you'll see in the vid lol) but more vids to come enjoy. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_crjMeTGsCs

"Yes he smack dat motherf**ka" haha. Awesome, that guy can't drive work a crap! Awesome times for just a time, very impressive. Once the wheel hop is corrected I can only imagine what it'll be capable of with an exhaust and I/C upgrade!

Damn. Bone stock this truck does what my SRT-4 did. Is the truck run with the diff locked? Could not see the video btw. Are there traction bars or something that could be used to prevent wheel hop? Anyhow, 13.4 seconds is screaming fast. With that trap speed, I doubt it is wheel hop that is holding back a faster time, though. More power and less weight will be the only way to decrease time. Impressive for sure!

That's a HUGE jump from what he ran stock. Thank god that guy in the other lane didn't hit him. When I run my truck I wait for the other cars to leave first. Normally SS camaro's, and higher end luxury sports cars. I'm defiantly interested in what he'll be doing next!

*Shameless Plug to follow*

Needs a MAK Y-Pipe! Just our Y-Pipe alone should get you damn near the 12s with traction.

Getting in to the 12's will require a good power boost or a significant weight loss. Meth injection would be the easiest way but I am sure this guy doesn't want to destroy is truck this early.

What is the price point on the Tremors? Not too bad for tune only, but not great either considering 13.4 @ 99 is the same or a bit slower than what a stock L ran back in 2001.

Impressive, but not worth the money IMO. $40k+ sticker price. You could buy a 5.0 RCSB, have a Roush blower installed, blow the doors off the Tremor and a lot of other things too, plus keep $10k in your pocket. :)

Exactly. You can have a 11 second truck for under 30k, do it with nitrous and you can do it much less. I ran the math once in a thread a while back.

I run a consistant 1.8 60' on street tires, so if the tremor can do that it's lookin at 13.0's or real real close to it !

I'll second the Y-pipe(love mine).
