That's why on some older vehicles if you hear a trans whine it may just be fluid level. But if its still under warranty then I would defiantly go get it checked out that way it's at least on record in the computer and if later on if you have issues then can go back to that as well.
You can check it yourself. Small dipstick under the 3/4 nut pass side of pan. Check with trans hot running.
