Traction control crap
 

Hey is there anyway to stop the power cut off during a drift or slide ? I have the traction control off but it still cuts the power right off once u start to drift. Just wanna play around and can't even do that. Damn exhaust brake kicks in and kills the power.

From the factory without a tune it will turn back on at 35mph no matter what you do. Im not sure if youre aware also but once you turn off the traction control button you can go back and hold that button for about 5 sec until you see the "Advance Trac" off screen pops up. Even after turning off Advance Trac it still kicks back on at 35pmh, only way i was able to get rid of it for good is with a tune :D

Well **** that really sucks. I think it has it's uses for sure but u should be able to turn it right off if u want. So with a custom tune from 5star that will totally get rid of the power cut off at 35 mph then? It's almost worth the warranty headache of a custom tune just for this traction control crap to be gone.

I cant speak for 5star but with Livernois im running thier 91v2 and it sure does the trick. As far as the warranty thing goes man thats a pretty deep subject but you can read A LOT about it on here and make your own informed desicion, i have a feeling i know which way your leaning now though lol

I also hate the traction control. wish I could eliminate it completely

Not according to the owner's manual (and my experience)...T'is true that RSC and ESC are enabled, but Traction Control is NOT.

Yah I'm leaning towards a custom tune now. Does anyone know then if 5star can correct this issue?

I know the Livernois tune does not eliminate traction control, not sure about 5star

2011 EB or 2012? On my 2011 with no tune even if i turned off advance trac as soon as i hit 35mph the "Advance Trac off" light would go away and the truck would right itself almost instantly.

On my livernois 91v2 tune it allows me to run it off it at any speed, where did you hear it doesnt?

oh really? I asked Rick before I bought mine and he told he they cant eliminate it because it's a safety feature? when I installed my tune it never asked anything about traction control. how do you shut it off on yours?
