Hey.. I am currently running the Livernois 91 Performance tune in my truck and I am going to be towing my ATV and trailer tomorrow. I remember reading that towing with a performance tune can hurt your truck, but I dont remember why or what it could do. The trailer and ATV weigh around 2500lbs and I will be towing it a few miles over a mountain.

Will I be ok running my performance tune, or do I have to swap back to my 91 towing tune? (I dont care about gas mileage at all, if that's the issue)

I would switch to the tow tune. You may over heat your cats towing with the performance tune. Play it safe and switch tunes to the right one.

With that low of weight and wind resistance, you'll be fine

I recall some of the tuners saying 5k lbs or 3500 lbs being the limit with performance tune. I tow 2k lbs all the time on performance tune. Over 5k lbs I use stock or tow tune.

You'll be fine as long as you don't try to go ***** to the wall and don't tow over around 3500 lbs. Anything over that go with a tow tune.
