Default Torsion bar lift?

Was just wanting to make a thread concerning torsion bars... How easy is it to tighten the torsion bar on my truck to give it a more level look? What are the possible down sides if any? And will it hurt my suspension travel?

Don't you have like a 2011/12? There are none.

There is a nut behind the steering wheel you could tighten up.

Most definitely a nut loose behind the wheel, do some research and at least look under your truck before posting...

F150's are a coilover design. Simply, there are no torsion bars that support the vehicle weight. You can level the front end with spacers atop the springs OR an adjustable coilover. After raising the front, you need an alignment and that's about it. There should be a bazillion threads in the general forum about this. good luck!!

Correct.

F150s have been this way since 2004 (excluding heritage models). Ford was the first domestic fullsize truck mfg to use struts.

Why is this in the "2011+ Engines" section?

Seriously. You acquired one of these trucks how? This thread should be tossed.

Tightening them is the easy part. Finding them is the hard part.

Easy, simple question......simple answer. There are plenty of trucks that used torsion bars in the past, not everyone knows all the workings of every mechanical part on these trucks. Karma, chief.

Miz, the jab about the nut was just sarcasm. I didn't mean to start anything. Ask any questions...
