Too Soon to Tune?

From what I know the ecoboost engine isn't fully broke in till 7500 miles. I could be way off on this but I'm sure someone will correct me. I just traded for a 2013 ecoboost and have plans for a livernois tune. Would it be smart to wait on the tune till I get some miles on it?

Wouldn't the tune override the computers ability to control the break in?

There is no computer controlled break in. If anything is breaking in, its the fact that the motor is getting some wear and parts are mating.

I was tuned at 2000.

No and no. Tune it

I had a custom tune on my 12 Eco at 512. Now 5400 with no problems. Go for it!

I had my tune on at about 500 miles as well, no issues with the truck and its sitting at around 5k now.

I bought mine and went home and tuned it. 25 miles on it. Now I've got over 2k a and have an exhaust now as well.

The sooner you tune it the better.

Put my 5* on at 200, bought Livernois at 700, been switching back n forth 3 times a week for 18,000 hard miles.

I am waiting for my Livernois right now. Truck has 330 miles. 4" exhaust, k&n filter are on already. Runs great and lots of power! Can't wait to get the tune on it

X2!

I tuned early on and have about 24k miles on the truck in sig. Once I hit 20k my mpg went up a little more and now it feels "broke in".
