New Ecoboost Oil Filter - EB only.
I am new to the site and wanted to pass along some information that was given to me today in my Welcome Packet from Ford. There is a page in the packet that is a notification of the switch from the FL-2055 to the FL-500S Motorcraft oil filter. The FL-2055 has been discontinued and Ford now recommends the FL-500S for the 2011 Ecoboost. This may be old news to some and if it is I apologize.

It is old news but there a lot of new EB owners that may still have that sticker on the new engine oil filter claiming one must use the 2055 to maintain warranty status.
Your post just helped them immensely. I used 1 2055 filter before Ford changed their mind - getting someone at Ford to admit the change was difficult. This forum is where I got the confirm I needed ! So.... Good post!
