Does anyone actually log their own MPG instead of claiming what the computer says?

I have every gas receipt since day one plus a spread sheet with mileage the computer mpg plus actual mileage hand calculated.

If guess I overestimated the purpose of this forum if folks like you can only suggest my mileage problem is my " own effing foot !" Ford made very appealing claims as to the mileage attainable with this Ecoboost drivetrain. From what I've read, I'm far from being the only one that is dissatisfied with the Ecoboost. I had hoped, by posting on this forum, that someone would have
" constructive " suggestions that I was not aware of. After all, that IS the purpose of this forum, is it not?
I know the thread says with ecoboost problems...but I figured I'd throw in my 2cents. Firstly, you here and I have a lot in common. Pretty much the same truck, I too have a soft tonneau.

Anyway...my truck 2013, has been almost flawless since day one. I had a defective rear shock but thats about it. I will say however when it comes to mpg...slow it down to 60. There is a huge difference between 60 and 70 mph when it comes to mpg. HUGE!

Here is my mileage today, towing my boat,(3500#) no wind, at 60mph. Outside temp was 30 degrees.

Me too. I've checked my gasmeter a few times and everytime it was +-.1, so I stopped checking it. I think it's close enough on my truck.,

Every time you said yes, punch yourself in the ***** because that's why your mileage is the way it is.

Its a god damned 5000# TRUCK.

You want better mpg, drive differently. Simple as that. The trucks differences will make some variables, but the single biggest factor is your own effing foot.

WORST CASE SCENARIO:
Crew cab, Lariat, long box, oversized tires, a lift, and a lead foot - you still get >13 mpg on the daily if you aren't towing.

If that isn't good enough for ya, you shouldn't have bought a truck.
I am SOOOO @$%#%^ tired of smart *** responses like this. Total asinine idiocy.

I have crew cab, lariat, normal stock tires, no lift and my lifetime average is 12.4 MPG. I drive the thing like a freaking grandma most of the time, BARELY pushing the accelerator (maybe 1/2 inch, just enough to feel the slightest resistance).

Heck since I bought a truck, I guess I should be happy with anything above, oh, lets say 6 MPG???

Nevermind the freaking advertisement and sticker telling me I should be getting 50% more than what I am. I think 50% off is a bit more variation than is reasonable.

I get 16-18 on the highway, HW miles reasonable, it's in town where it BLOWS.
