Default Satisfied so far

I've had my 2013 Lariat 4x4 Ecoboost with full max tow package, off road package, skid plates 6-1/2 bed, no tonneau (am getting that this week), 18" truck tires and 3.73 elect. diff for two weeks. Have put about 475 miles on it so far. My drive to work is a combination of surface streets getting there, and surface and freeway going back. I'm getting about 14.5 MPG instantaneous on work trips. A couple days ago I drove for two hours on the freeway and was averaging 21.3 MPG. Am very pleased with it so far, and am told that the engine will loosten up in the first 20k miles and MPG will be even better. Considering the heavy setup and gear ratio I have, I couldn't be more pleased.

as far as i can tell, "it'll loosen up" is a lie. My trucks have been the same since day 1, now at 22k and 38k

I received my IDS to have a look at what can be the problem of bad mpg on my truck. I had a lot of difficulty to install the ids but now I can do what ford can do even programming all different parameter and install last calibration... I did a lot of test during the holidays (without the ford tech, he is supposed to come at my home on January 7).
During my test I find that the truck request 15psi of boost but the truck only give 11psi at 10psi it'll give an underboost check engine so I'm at only 1psi to have a check engine and with it ford will do something). So there is a problem with the boost control, wastegate or wastegate solenoid from 1 or both turbo. Everything else seam to be good except that the request boost is not achieve.
I let you know what I find in more detail...

A clogged/broken catalytic converter can cause this and bad fuel mileage, not to mention lots of people have had the problem.

Yes, im getting the advertised mpg. The problem with me is that I drive the truck like my subi. To Damn Fast! When I put my truck on cruise control and stay at 65-70 mph I average 21-23.5 on trips from Oceanside, CA to L.A. or San Diego. When I drive out to Big Bear Ski resort I average 19-20 mpg due to altutide and hills. I average 16mpg towing 5k pounds. My DTE gauge is always off and I never go lower than 1/4 tank!

I drive mine like my grandma and I average 13.3 mpg, I set the cruise at 63 mph and I get 16-16.5 mpg. Just sayin. Waiting to hear what the ford tech says on the 7th.

Well, looks like the F150 isn't the only one that has issues with low MPG returns. The Fusion Hybrids are not returning anywhere near the 47 MPG ratings, same with the Cmax.

35 MPG is a far cry from 47 MPG dont you think? I guess Ford engineers think 20% off EPA is normal on production vehicles, since this is about what it equate to in both.
