Thinking of putting a tuner on your ecoboost?

Some inline devices modify the signal of various sensors going to the PCM, thus fooling it into increasing boost or changing timing/A/F. Others modify the output signals of the PCM, thus changing injector PW, boost control solenoid PW, or ignition timing directly. My personal preference is the latter, but I have no idea which Fastlane is doing.
I prefer the inline approach with a control panel that allows changes from the driver's seat. I had one on a Chevy Duramax Diesel and I loved it. Do you have any recommendations for one for the Ecoboost?
Confused on Ecoboost stuff

I'm pretty sure the only one out there for the EB is the Fastlane device, and I think it doesn't have a display.
Of course, there are units like the AEM FIC that anyone is free to adapt to the EB, but I doubt anyone will take on this task with SCT flashing and tuning software available.

Fastlane's website stinks! It doesn't give very good information... or I'm missing it! Likely the second!

maybe you don't understand how different diesels are from gas setups? diesels are the most simple of creatures, so manipulating them is very easy. gas engines with all their ****, not so much

One note for all us, I have found out in the past with an Escape and Ford. They do at some times look for posts with your Tag in them. IE my email has the same name as my tag and they searched a forum and pulled up comments I made on the forum. Luckily it was complaints and the nature of the problem was a sh*tty transmission that leaked and had to be replaced after 300 miles, but they changed the torque converter and seal up to 6 times before doing the tranny. And even after that it still leaked. That's when they gunned it and traded it out for a 2010 supercab.

That would be a problem if you were foolish enough to use any legitimate iteration of your name
There are no "OddBall's" in my lineage
Regardless, i'm not modifying the powertrain at any point. I like it as is for now and this is Ford's headache for the long run, not mine.

Here is my two cents! This engine is nothing new to the import scene! If you know anything about nissan engines, these problems have already been tackled. I will wait until AEM or Jim Wolf comes out with a proper tune, ecu, or piggy back system. If you must, look into these two companies. Ford is the only company to put this type of gasoline engine in a truck but many comapnies have them in cars and vans. Check out the VQ30DE V6 engine VQ30DET, VQ30DETT ENGINES!
I will post pics of my Full- Race Turbo kit, if you want info on the quality of their products.
