It's at least a dozen of us that see through your sales pitch. Oh, and facts? We care plenty about facts, even more than you, apparently. I've corrected your factual mistakes many times, particularly around the very basics of atmospheric humidity, condensation, and basic combustion processes. We care about facts like actual documented power and mileage losses, bad oil analysis results, poor flow bench data, worn out valve guide reports, etc...not just claims about how the above have happened on other makes/models/technologies and could happen on ours if we don't buy your product.

So, a lemon truck has all sorts of issues that 99.9% of the trucks do not have, yet it needs a part that 99.9% of trucks don't need in order to run right? If it fixes it, all that proves is that the dealership wasn't able to find or address the true root cause. The basics strike again!

If 100 kanooter valves are sold and 99 of them work correctly, but 1 needs snake oil to work right, are they all designed wrong and need snake oil? Or perhaps something is just wrong with the 1 that doesn't work right...

Again, putting words in my mouth. For the 4th time, why do you consistently claim I said things I didn't? I'm being serious. Do I communicate in a manner you have difficulty comprehending? Are you using the straw man debate style? You've done this easily 20 times and I really want to know why.

Your arrogant and condescending posts do offend. I am not the one here attacking you, your the one attacking and questioning and spinning like a politician during an election all of this. You ignore all those that have had the issues and have installed the fix and all issues are now in the past as not applying to this. You discredit and harass those that do come into these threads with their own personal stories when it does not fit with your agenda.

Every time someone credible comes it to dispute your claims, or like this from FORD you dismiss it. I have no problem with you doing as you wish with your truck, but do a search and these issues affect most of the ecoboost F-150's on the road today. Every service center lists it as the #1 warranty related claim....yet you still pretend it is all an illusion even with the NSTB investigation YOU quote.

You have made this (look at in the 2 months your a member here how 95% of all your posts are to harass and attack myself and those that disagree with you), yet time and again I urge you or anyone NOT concerned about the fix to be happy with your own vehicle as it is and ignore this. Yet you have made this your agenda from the start.

I DONT WANT TO FIGHT AND KEEP BEING INSULTED BY YOU! Go Away and do as you please with your own vehicles and stop making all this drama. Not a SINGLE one of those that have installed the 250 plus systems to correct these issues has had anything but praise for the results. Not one. And most claim their truck has never run better, or never gotten as good of fuel economy, and could not be more happy with all the issues solved.....yet you still want to attack.

Please, have a heart and soul and at least some ethics and step back and watch the results of even more testing this.....and your dissing Ford for testing this on a very problem prone new truck in an effort to help the customer and possibly offer many more an fix to their headaches is unreal. let them make the call.

So, I dont want to fight with you yet you stay on the attack non-stop. I only want to have intelligent discussions with those that are interested.

Tuner,

All we (ok, me) is asking for is cold hard data for your accusations that apply to the Ecoboost. The GM, VW.Audi, etc are all not our problem and in no way similar to the Ecoboost. That's all - no more no less. I know I've asked for it.

Like:

"Bob has a F150 with 40k, we dyno'ed it and it made 325 HP/400 Lb-Ft. We then cleaned the valves and it made 326HP/401 Lb-ft." And a dyno graph too.

And some MPG graphs. I've posted mine over 73k from new on a 3.5 EB. No MPG loss - in fact, it seems to be increasing.

I'd even love to know the source of the condensation issue being the #1 issue at all Ford dealers. I somehow doubt that at is #1. If anything I think it would be the clunky drivetrain that needs greasing. Or even My Ford Touch issues.

Has anyone figured out the simple fix for CAC condensation yet ? It's all water vapors, fuel vapors, combustion blow by vapors, vapors created in the block by heat, friction, and hot pistons skirts and water condensation from outside fresh air. It is very "not complex" solution, Doesn't need a formula or a theorem. It has a closed loop and is not getting burnt steadily for many owners. This isn't about dealerships or mods but it is OEM's responsibility to owners more or less. OEM probably feels less. LOL
Back to the topic ?

My agenda? Excuse me, but I'm not the one selling something here.

As someone else said, I too would like to see some actual data on this. Left side bad speakers, driveshaft clunk, sticky EPAS, leaky transmission seal, etc...all seem to be more common. Not to mention all of the other models and their associated issues...

Once again, you are blatantly incorrect here. Try 36 months and about 5%. Check it.

Stop posting incorrect stuff, thinly veiled sales pitches, and scare tactics then. Stop avoiding the legitimate questions you are asked, and we will stop calling BS.

All I said was that if 99.9% of the trucks don't have the issue, then installing a catch can on one lemon is obviously just a band-aid. The dealership couldn't find the thing that makes the lemon different from all the others on the road with no issues, so they're grasping at straws to get the poor owner back on the road. Not to mention, if it were a legitimate engineering test by Ford, it wouldn't be carried out at a dealership.

I thought I explained this quite well in my previous post.

Same here. Interested in facts, not sales pitches - that is.
1. What is the basic chemical reaction that describes combustion?
2. If you compress then cool air, is it possible for liquid water to condense out?
3. Is CH4 the same thing as diesel?
4. If water is present in air, what happens if you add heat?
5. Can you show us a dyno test that proves that cleaning of 3.5 EB valves results in more hp? Can you explain why the BG SHO and Hero engines lost little/no power over time?
6. Can you show us a controlled test where a 3.5 EB gained fuel mileage by venting the PCV through a catch can? If so, then how is an EB different than every other vehicle on the road in that regard? Can you explain why most users who track mileage, with few exceptions, are not seeing mileage degrade over time?
7. Can you show us a 3.5 EB oil analysis report that shows high acid, water, or excessive fuel content? If so, then why is that one different from all the others posted here?
8. Can you show us any reports of failed (or excessively worn)3.5 EB valve guides due to wear from carbon on the valve stem?
9. Can you show us just one example of another 5500 lb vehicle with a 3.5 liter turbocharged engine and mis-fire detection with cat protection mode? Does it have condensation issues and how is the PCV configured?

...just to name a few relevant "intelligent" questions you have avoided.

Odds are if you unhook the driver side BOV tube from the turbo intake and put a filteron it you will notice oil at the filter soon.

On my 2011 F-150 ecoBoost, My drivers door speaker had to be replaced, Work had to be done to my driveshaft for the clunking noise, front suspension was creaking and had never been lubed, driving in the rain towing a trailer and went to pass and she fell flat on her face. So far that's all I had issues with.

Ho about a broken piston from hydrolock? Customer had the shudder, and after one recent episode had low power and misfires after it. Checked plugs and coils, all fine. Did comp test and #5 was low. dropped boroscope in the cylinder and all looked fine, so yesterday dropped engine out and removed heads. All looked good excep #5 had some slight scouring (engine made NO noise or knocking). So dropped oil pan and found chunks of piston, pulled pistons and here is what we found:

Drill hole would have prevented this, but he had TSB's done and was told there was no issue anymore. Out of warranty also.
