Well, had the work done. Not happy, it feels like it lost power. Hard to tell how much, the butt dyno feels like a bit. Oh well, guess that's the way things go

Yes don't be fooled by these ford reps asking for your info,I fell for it and sent my info weeks ago and have heard nothing.they r denying there's a problem with the ecoburst engine, after enough drinks of water a hole forms in the side of the block!mine lasted 30000 km some wont have the problem but eventually it will happen engines weren't made to take gulps of water!ecoburst!

Unfortunately spark plugs, like brake pads, tires, windshield wipers etc are considered wear items and would only be covered if they had a major failure in a short amount of use that can be proven as manufacturing defects.
The way around this is to purchase service plans that replace these items for free at a regularly scheduled service. However good luck on convincing them to change plugs at 1/3 of their claimed life cycle

For those of you who say you're going to get an aftermarket tune/IC, is that even proven to be a fix? I'd be willing to upgrade if that does fix it. Mine is new and of course I don't have the problem yet, but if I do I want to know how to fix it.

Drilling a drain hole and tightening the plug gap seems to be most effective, with the added bonus that its free.

I don't understand why the don't just install a blow off valve in the bottom of the intercooler.

Has anyone thats drilled a hole in their IC had it happen again? Seems like the easiest and cheapest fix and the last thread I read had nothing but positive reports...

Here is your shudder fix, from the 2015 redesign PDF

Quote...

Ford F-150 trucks equipped with EcoBoost engines also will benefit from standard Active Grille Shutters. Active Grille Shutters stay open when extra engine cooling is needed, such as during low- speed stop-and-go driving or while working in hot weather. They automatically close to reduce aerodynamic drag at cruising speed.

Of course this is not retrofit able and also unproven. But the trade off is you have to be seen driving that hideous fugly thing (2015 F-150).
