Seems that this fix has diminished the massive failures as to the 2011/2012 model years. At least it might correct it and minimize the reoccurance ..JMO.
Didn't know you traded trucks? When did that happen? Upgrade to a diesel?

Not at all. Numerous other issues present very similarity, but are actually not related. For example spark plug gaps still need to be checked, at least one person reported shudder after drilling, found excessive gaps, regapped and solved the problem. So, I'm still hopeful that the hole will prove to be a fix by this time next year.

Actually it's worse news if it reoccurred. That means that there is more than condensation causing the problem... Just as in medicine, a shotgun approach of treating a condition isnt efficient or predictable. Not knowing the etiology doesn't allow for a specified fix

Last Friday. No diesel, just the 6.2L. didn't want or need the extra cost and maintenance or stink of the diesel.. so far this 6.2 is a beast with a mean exhaust growl, big change from the EB.

Yes it did. Gave me $700 over Kelly Blue book excellent condition as a dealer trade in,, cant complain about that. of course all the year end rebates don't help anyone trying to trade there F150 but I only had 11,800 on odometer and she was mint so they gave me a good trade in, good for a dealer compared to selling out right. It was hard to let go, never traded a truck in so quickly, usually there run to the ground and have no problem letting go.

Touch base with me on Monday, Furynation; I want to ensure this is being addressed. If you need any assistance from my neck of the woods, send me a PM with your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership.

Well...

First off I would like to apologize to anyone whom I doubted last year (or two) regarding the "Ecoboost humidity/dewpiont/deathtrap issues". Sorry.

I never doubted things were wrong, I just never knew how bad they were. See old thread...https://www.f150forum.com/f70/ecoboo...nigans-163764/

Long story short, I had the issue. Dealer "fixed it". Fast forward 40k and I have it again. Dealer "fixed it". Fast forward 30k to last week, I have the issue again. Dealer installed TSB 13-8-1, which, from what I understand is a piece of foam tape stuck to my CAC...apparently designed to make the intercooler 1/3rd as efficient? (And to think it only cost me $140 dollars to have them install it!)

Brilliant Ford.

Oh! Oh! I have the next Ecoboost TSB! # 14-1-1, remove both Turbos! Problem solved.

Honestly, I have nothing of value to add here. I just wanted to rant. While my truck was getting "fixed" I drove a loaner 5.0 F-150 with 80k...the same miles as my truck. It has more power than my now nerfed EB. It wouldn't be so bad..except I seem to remember paying like an extra $1000 for the Ecoboost option?

I'm going back into the dealer tomorrow. Unless they make me a great deal on a 5.0, this will be my last Ford...which is sad, because until recently I've been really happy with all my Fords.

Sorry to hear about your truck, but there is nothing special about anyone's EB. There all prone to this issue, it just hasn't reared its ugly head yet. Your proof of that. With the miles you got on your truck it might be a good time to trade/sell. Be quite honest, I don't think Ford makes any vehicle w/o issue. That's why there nickname is fix or repair daily. Maybe you cant get latest greatest parts/tsb and run it w/o issue for another 70k..Lets us know how things go. Good Luck..
