The service advisor called me at 4:30 and said that the CAC has to be changed on my truck. They had to order the parts and said it would be a few days probably.

Sorry to hear you have to wait... I had mine back fixed and ready to go the same day.

Default unhappy

I currently have my EB at the dealership for this issue. I have 50K on my truck and am currently arguing with Ford/our local dealership about whose responsibility it is to pay for these repairs. Bumper to bumper warranty expired at 36K but powertrain coverage is still effective. Since this issue causes a misfire in the ENGINE my argument is it should be covered. We have a family owned shop and I was initially hesitant about buying a Ford. I've seen spark plugs blow out, then seize up, but heard the EB was supposed to be an awesome engine. Extra frustrating when you consider the history of the same issue on the 6.4L diesel which was corrected on the 6.7L the same year the EB came out. I have already had my torque converter replaced (under warranty) and am pretty unhappy so far. My parking brake doesn't hold at all, I was told by the dealership "that's just how it works on this truck". Also I'm very concerned about a potential loss of power? The main reason I bought the EB to begin with. Hope Ford can lure me back in with some decent customer service.

There should be absolutely no issue with warranty on this issue. It is powertrain.

If they made you fix it yourself I would for sure be looking aftermarket like Full-race instead of putting the same parts back on that cause the issue in the first place.

Hope they fix it for ya, I say powertrain issue.
