I wonder what would happen if you continued to drive your truck and over the next 3 months went over 60k miles. Wonder if they would still replace under warranty.

As long as the warranty claim was made before the warranty expires they are obligated to cover it. Just make sure you keep all your paperwork just in case they try to hassle you.

The Problem has NOTHING to do with the Tunes from MPT!!!!! You can't blame the Tunes for the Problem.

GET THE FACTS RIGHT it is the FORD Intercooler that caused the Problem and NOT the Tunes from the Tuner.

FORD Knows there is a Problem and that is why there are TSB's out there to correct their Desigh Flaw!!!!!!!!

Your issue is not a intercooler issue.

My 2012 FX4 is in the Dealers Shop after Cracking Two Spark Plugs and BAD Misfiring and now a TICKING from the Drivers Side. When driving to work one Cold Morning it almost Died on me and started Misfiring and almost died. It SHOOK so Violently I thought it was going to shake my Fillings Loose. I was on the Interstate and had to keep Moving to avoid getting RUN OVER.

I'm afraid that I may have Blown an Injector or Turbo or something else VERY EXPENSIVE.
And now I found this Thread regarding Misfiring and Falling out of Power....

I was running the MPT 87 Performance Tune and Removed it before calling the Dealer and having it Towed in.

I had it towed into the Dealers Shop and it's been there for over a week now. They say they changed the Cracked Plugs and it's still NOT Running right and haven't found what the Problem is yet??????

They did Comment that the Cold Air Intake (Injen) and Exhaust (SOLO 4") weren't STOCK and the FORD Factory rep might raise an ISSUE with them IF they had to get Involved

I am Familiar with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Law and HOPE they don't try and go there
You are on thin ice with a modded / tuned truck. It is very clear in the owners manual that could cost you your warranty. Magnusson Moss is not a veto on their warranty weasel clause. You should really smarten up and not post this stuff on the net if you want any hope of getting it warrantied. I'm a die hard warranty believer, as in the truck should take just about anything you throw at it, as long as you don't tune it. As it stands, they owe you zip. I hope they take care of you, but they certainly aren't obligated IMO.

A lot of people have posted the issue of the truck shaking violently after driving in high humidity or rain. A gulp of water from the intercooler could cause the cracked plugs, could it not?

I am just saying that to blame it on the tune and not on the known intercooler design flaw is a bit premature IMO.

No, but lean conditions do. Lean conditions also ruin cats, such as what has been seen with many who have the CEL,hesitation, power loss (such as myself). Food for thought.

I've been waiting for my new parts since the first of December. At first they said sometime in January, then it was February 10th, and the most recent time frame was mid to late March. Then I get a call this past Thursday that the parts are here! I pick it up this afternoon. I'm wishing myself Good Luck!
