You can get an aftermarket CAC for about 1600.

My 2011 XLT Crew Cab Ecoboost with 59000 miles went in the shop about 4 weeks ago. I was told it was the intercooler and that a part would not be available until sometime in March. I am currently trying to get Ford to cover my rental truck with not much luck. This is insane...and it is costing me a fortune (about $1600.00 month to rent a truck from Enterprise commercial). I can't believe they dont have at least a temporary fix for this and I am not convinced that a new intercooler in March is really going to solve the problem long term.
Are there aftermarket parts available that might solve this?
Any suggestions at all would be a big help.
Thanks

If your truck was built after Sept 18/12, you will have the latest intercooler and shouldn't have any issues.

Went in yesterday for new CAC and PCM software update. So far, that took care of the loss of power issue.
Also had the plugs gapped to .030 (they were .035). Now the missing/stumbling at low rpm under light loads is gone. And mileage seems to have gone up 3 or 4 mpg.
As far as I can tell, the truck is now perfect. It's my favorite vehicle of all I've ever owned. I really liked my 1966 Vette convertible, but now it's 3rd on my favorites list.

They wouldn't regap the plugs under warranty. Charged me $145 for that, but if the truck runs good now and is getting 3 or 4 more mpg, I'm a happy camper.

$145 cost to re-gap plugs sounds like a wise investment.
