Default Test and tune night in Central MS 10-6-12

Tues nites are t and t nite at the track in byram. Its just less than an 1/8, but a good track and usually prepped well. Havent ran since May when it was still in the 80s at nite. Ran an 8.15 then, hoping the lower temps will help. A couple members on here had asked me to post when i was returning. So if u live in the area come on out. I dont care what motor or yr. Tired of being the only ford truck at the track. Ill be in a white screw 4x4 offroad.

Kent, I'm still out of town but will be back after this week. If I have a Tuesday off I'd love to come. I'll hit you back when I know I can make it.

Sounds good. Im goin to try a few different launch methods. Best 60 ft i managed was a 2.29 and that wasnt my fastest pass. Did a 2.32 when i ran 8.15. That 60ft is slow compared to the ecos. Traction isnt an issue even in 2wd. 4wd just hurt my mph.

That's odd, I was pulling 2.0s in 2wd and high 1.8s in 4hi. And I only lose a half mile an hour in the 1/4 from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive.

Which part was odd? Your 60 ft is way better because of all the low end torque u make, and for that same reason u need 4wd to take full advantage of it. Running in 4wd slowed me just slightly, but it slo ed me, and i dont need it to launch.

Kent, what was the 1/8th mile et? I doubt it was an 8.15, as that equates to roughly an 12.70 in the 1/4.

Never ran in the 1/4, and this track is shorter than an 1/8. The guys that race alot said that adding 1 sect to this track time will give u your 1/8 time, so 9.15. That would be more like 14.30s or 40s.

The track is 500ft but I'll be down to go if they open up next week... I've got a 4x4 eco screw tuned w/superchips.

Word has it that tonight 11-10 Lena is having a truck shootout. I'm trying to get them on the phone to confirm...
