Yes, been discussing that over in the Maintainence area. Will be changing out to a WIX, NAPA, or Ford if I have to on the next change in 5k miles. I did buy the "Tough Guard" and not the regular one, but probably just paid more for the same POS internals LOL?? Who knows?

Granted that sopus sometimes has typos in their TDS's but I like some of these numbers, especially the noack . . . Also this is for the SN version only

Just different formulations. Speculation is that the PU is using a new base stock for the SN formula. I imagine it would make its way to QS eventually. QS has a great product, so no worries. BTW where is GA are you? I go to the amicalola falls area at least 2x a year and I love it.

I have run Royal Purple for several years now with great results. I make sure the rings are seated then switch, I initially run it for 1500 miles then change it. The reason for this is to get all the dyno oil and any other contaminants out before I get set up for longer runs. After the 1500 mile change I run it for 15k and use a "Wix" Napa Gold Filter. I am getting my first oil change from my dealer for free so will get it at 2k and then switch to RP around 5k.
Be carefull on high mileage vehicles as it will clean so well it could cause a return of previous seal leakage.
I had a friend at work do this and he removed one of his valve covers just to look at it and there was sludge and alot of discoloration on the inside of the cover. He just put it back on and ran the RP for 1500 mile and removed it again and it looked like it was glass beaded, clean as a whistle. I normally don't have this problem on newer vehicles but on older ones be carefull.
