Penzoil Platinum or Penzoil Ultimate 5w-30 SN would be good choices. So would Mobil 1 0w/5w-30. All 3 available at walmart and meet all the specifications Ford requires.

I did some research too and RP does have a line of API and GF-5 licensed oils, however there's nothing "special" about the oil that makes it perform better. It's got a dye in it which raises the price. It's a good oil, but there's others that will provide equal protection for less money. Motorcraft semi syn is also about a 60% synthetic blend. Pennzoil Plat or Ultra would also be a good route, so would Mobil 1, so would XYZ.... There's no one oil that is "best". They each have their strengths and different add packs. When it comes down to it, using a quality oil and apporpriate oil change interval is key. Using one oil won't make your motor last longer, it'll just give you a warm fuzzy feeling for using it. In modern vehicles, oil related failures are pretty low on the list.

Don't get too caught up in the "synthetic" marketing term. Most synthetics are actually Group III oils, which are not man made. Group III can be marketed here in the US as synthetic, but not in Europe. Synthetic is mainly a marketing tool now, rather than group rating.

Amsoil has several gasoline oils that are API certified. Your warranty isn;t going anywhere.

OK here is why I am currently putting Penzoil Ultimate in my EB

Granted that sopus sometimes has typos in their TDS's but I like some of these numbers, especially the noack . . . Also this is for the SN version only

Other than a higher cost, there's no reason not to use a synthetic oil.

Traditional motor oil starts breaking down at 270 degrees, while synthetic is still going strong at 320.

Oil engineers love throwing cheapo oil in a pan, heating it up, and seeing how quickly they can get it out of spec.

Really good oil for a Group III base stock. I wish the TBN was higher....especially if being used in a turbo. They don't advertise it for some reason on their SPEC sheet, but it is 11.4.

Well I think RP is a little overpriced, I am sure it is good oil though. In addidtion they have this quote on their website
For those seeking enhanced performance in vehicles not under warranty, we recommend our HPS Series of high performance motor oils
So if your truck is still under warranty, I would pass . . .

A good oil. I used it in a build gm 350 and a 360 in a dodge dakota. It will bypass the rings and burn off some so keep and eye on it. I would not use it untill the motor is well broken in.

A lot of go cart tracks use RP in the little motors because it suppose to run cooler.

Most semi and full synthetics are better than base oils. Base oils also work great if you change the oil like your supposed to .
