Let me Tell you my horror story. I bought the edge Sct tuner and was working pretty good, except for excessive waste gate and random check engine light. I called Edge to ask about the problem and they informmed me of an update. After update, Had the 75mph shift problem in stock and speedometer would not go beyond 14mph in other three programs. Returned to stock and returned unit. Took to my dealer to get re-flashed. In the mean time, I order the Livernois programmer, as I was reading about the great reviews from the thread. Anyway, Dealer informed me that they could not access ECM and I would need to replace it. Installed Livernois and programmed to the 93 octane and truck ran fantastic. Just for chucks, I thought I would re-install the stock file to see if the shift problem would be fixed. To my amazement, truck was back to normal and shift problems were fixed. Called dealer back and told them that whatever they did, the problem is fixed! Could not be happier with my decision to return Edge and Order the Livernois!

Sell it, return it, whatever! Just do not use it. Save some more $ and go Livernois. Amazing with ALL the issues here about superchumps and edge that anyone would risk using one. The issues will happen to all since their programming is botched.

So was it the dealer that fixed your shift problem or was it the Livernois Stock F150 tune? I plan to buy the Livernois tuner, but after using superchips and returning it to stock it still wont shift from 5-6, if I install the livernois will this problem go away.

Edge does not have an SCT tuner. SCT is another brand of tuner.

This is Edge.
and...
This is SCT.

It Definitely was not the dealer. The Livernois must come with the most updated stock file and another tune of your choice. When I programmed for the first time, I did not see where it pulled your stock file from the truck. I asked the question before I took truck to Dealer over in the Livernois thread, and several replies were that the programmer pulls your stock file from truck, But now firmly believe the programmer comes with both files

Well to date its not perfected!! I installed the 87 octane, on my 2012, 5.0, and it is running lean now! It spits and sputers until it warms up, then hold on she can go! but can still tell its running lean.

But for us 5.0 buyers the SC I think is a horrible purchase. I do question if there tuner update, that was available yesterday was intended to correct the 5.0 problems, or is that still forthcoming?
I got my sc tuner last week loaded the 87 octane running lean, and I have no gear selector anymore! I will stick with the tuner I just hope it dos'nt take 5 month to fix the problems we are having!

Has anyone talked to SC lately about the sixth gear issue? I need to call just haven't gotten around to it.

Honestly I'm wondering if Ford considers this an issue, since it has been traced back to the stock tune, or if it was done intentionally and they have decided this is now the best shift point.

No Superchips doesn't have a fix for the 6th gear problem. They said that they are working on the problem. Just like they say with all the problems they are having. I returned my Superchips and have a Livernois ordered. I talked to Rick at Livernois and he said that the stock file that they use will fix all the 5-6 gears problems.

Default Installed Superchips Performance Tune today

Just thought I would add on to this already existing thread. I installed Superchips on my 2011 Ecoboost today. Got a hell of a deal from autoanything, and because they screwed up my order it was under 270 delivered.

So far I am impressed with the performance, as I have an Injen CAI and a Heartthrob 4" exhaust and it really sounds great. Unfortunately, I have an issue with the 6th Gear not engaging until 70+ miles an hour. Nothing new here, but it would be nice to have an update from Superchips on when it will be fixed. Seems to be an extremely easy fix in programming... yet no one seems to be able to get an answer from them.

Jeff
