That's what I meant vacuum pump. Right now it sounds like those little air compressors that plug into the cigarrette lighter. Back on point, I looked under my truck and noticed the y pipe heat shield has a strange resonance when you tap it. The other thing is a small cover under the engine to access the oil filter? That cover is attached by cheap clips and rattles when tapped. I am going to dampen both with some rubber washers and see what happens.

It's the little hamsters they put in the turbinators to get them to spin. They're hungry, and tapping their little cups on the turbo casing to draw your attention, like prisoners on their cell doors!

Is the occasional cheese crumb reward part of the maintenance schedule in the manual? Ah crap. Shame on you, Hardcore. Shame on you.

Whose hamsters you calling little! I don't know what they put in the 5.0 but I promise the ecoboost gets the biggest hamsters around plus a steady diet of amphetamines and steroid to keep them moving!

The noise was louder when towing cause the turbo work harder but i can ear it between 2200 to 300 rpm

Hi everyone,

If you are worried about this noise, I suggest swinging by your dealer to have it looked at. If you still need a hand after that, PM your name, phone number, VIN, mileage, and dealer info to me (or FordServiceCA if you're in Canada) and one of us will take a look at options.

Thanks Ashley, looks like the boys have this one figured out. Some type of hamster food injector problem. I am pretty sure mine is just a shield rattling as the truck doesnt loose any power. If I can't figure it out I will ask the dealer to look at it on my next oil change.
