I'd prefer to hear more turbo whistle than anything else.

^ me too. We've seen minimal power gains from bad to somewhat descent sounding cat backs. Supposed to be good improvements with no cats, I've thought seriously about going with just a high flow cat y pipe and delete resonator to keep it all 3 inch and keep the rest stock. I like quite better than most of the systems that I've heard but I would like better flow.
You guys make it sound like that little v6 in the video you posted with some turbo whistle and I'd be impressed enough to bite.

As a side note, something I've wondered for a while. I ask since yall are in the business of making headers. We've seen pics that livernois did of the stock manifold with the outlet he size of a quarter. Do you think this truck would benefit from some nice pre-turbo headers? I realize that gets a lot more in depth with trying to keep pressures up for low rpm boost but I was thinking maybe just small diameter headers would flow better and keep pressure up as well as a restrictive manifold so maybe it would help some of that high rpm roll off on the torque curve? I could be wrong, it may be all turbo limited I'vs just been wondering that for a while.

Turbo engines don't typically gain power when modifying the exhaust between the engine and the turbo. The reason being that the exhaust is at 3-4 times the pressure of typical. At those high pressures, it's much more dense than typical and, therefore, has a much lower volumetric flow rate for any given mass flow rate. Lower volumetric flow means smaller piping/passages will suffice. I was making 900+ hp with the exhaust flowing through a single 2" hole upstream of the turbine wheel in my old race car. The exhaust pressure was 34 psi at 17 psi boost.

Conversely, (and this is a bit more complex) the pressure downtream of the turbine is critical in a turbo application and big power gains can be had. Reducing pressure downstream of the turbine wheel has a multiplier effect by the time it reaches the engine.

You should look into making an equal length pre-crossover pipe. All the EB exhausts sound flat due to the longer drivers' side section. Youtube the SHO corsa exhausts to see what an equal length exhaust should sound like on the EB 3.5L.

Make it with an equal length front pipe and I will buy one NOW!

The turbo will really help keep the decibel levels down. Bare in mind that the reason the stock exhaust is quiet is because it doesn't flow. There has to be some give and take to get the performance we are after. HOWEVER, we will be keeping it on the quieter side.
