SSI update important

How about that evidence? Name the PI, we can look him up. Site a lawyer or what charges you are filing. We can look it up. This goes for both sides. Evidence so far is that there are hurt engines and products didn't get where they needed to in a timely manner or at all. Finger pointing and loud mouthing is never at a shortage in these threads. Ecofx at least has documentation supporting his stance.

Shawn has been hard to deal with, but I've found if your just patient with him and don't be too demanding it works out fine. Yes I think I should've gotten better responses at times, but hey when things don't go so well I don't respond very well immediately either at times and I don't know his schedule.
Basically what I've read if you want a bad *** tune go with SSI, if you want top notch customer support via email and phone then honestly Shawn is not your guy. Shawn is a phone guy, not so much email. He'll work hard and try to make it right, but he'll do so as he sees fit and at his time. I've had almost immediate responses/corrections to some issues and others have taken a lot longer. He can be volatile and of course that hurts the customer service marks. His concern does seem to be more about your engine than you, which actually I think is a good thing for a tuner....granted it'd be nice to have both and I've read about some that seem to, but yet are lacking a bit in the tune performance, but hey pick your poison.

In regards to the original OP's message.....One of two things is going to happen coming up...
One, this "scar" will heal and people will move on...
Or people will see that what one party or the other has claimed is false in regards to what has happened in regards to the company....
"Ignorance of the law is not a defense".....

ya! I never gave a thought to using a ssi tune but all this drama about ssi made me call him to check him out.
I think this shawn guy is a diva and a little rough, but any one with a flavor of the month get this way.
When you tune something to a edge some times its not the tune but bad fuel, it is winter you know>

Another tuner on this very forum stated the SAME results from their datalogs....and they were seeing some very different logs with the winter blend.

Where's the proof?
One guy says a tune blew his motor and his story about his runs, his mods, etc has never been straight. Another guy posts under an ambiguous screen name with a complaint to essentially "hurt" SSI in the same manner he felt he was hurt. As it was explained to me Rodney used the company credit card to purchase items in Shawns name and them have these items delivered to his house. Theft, plain and simple. There was also an issue of the vendor not delivering. SSI has posted a link requesting that all of the orders yet to be filled need to be posted to the link so they can resolve the outstanding delivery items. 5.0 members were given a free tune for the "excessive" wait and he has delivered on his promise.
The business is doing as it should and correcting the wrongs. If you truly feel you lost your engine due to faulty work then you need to get a lawyer and wait till you can post facts, not mis-interpreted data logging which numerous non-SSI members pointed out you were reading incorrectly. You wouldn't know lambda if it sat on your face an wiggled but I digress.
What I read is a couple of young people that don't want to pay to play. You buy a $40k truck and ask for every last bit of power out of it, ask any seasoned racer when you race stuff, stuff breaks. Period. We don't need your immature warnings or cautionary tales. There are those wise enough to see through this and understand it's all relative; it's all about perception. I have done business with highly recommended companies before, companies my friends and colleagues have had great experiences with, and yet I did not have that experience, not just mom and pop businesses but enterprise level too.
Bottom line, you need to suck it up and move on. Not a lot of people get to speak directly with the person in charge of delivering a custom service, especially over the phone. You had your chance and you blew it. I am sure both parties involved let their emotions make the decisions and this is what happens. Come back with facts that can be qualified and quantified. Talk like a big boy and act like a grown up. You will do much better down the road.

The Big "Ah-Ha" for me is how SSI talks down Livernois...on a regular basis...this forum and their own. Live off your own accolades and "pay to play" on this forum you "not-so-secretly" push your product. In fact you bad mouth this forum on your own but gain customers from the same.

hi!
iTrader: (2)
Meh. It took Shawn over a month to send my tuner back in October and then another week to get the tune. It ran like **** and didn't get good gas mileage.
I removed the tunes and haven't regretted it once.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised that it happened that way because Rodney and I had a slight altercation because Rodney got offended by something simple I said. Sabotage! :-P
