Everybody has a past and everyone has a future. What Shawn has done for the ecoboost platform is unreal. This compared to anything he may have done in the past is trivial. The man is in his mid fifties and this is his golden horse, this is his last opportunity to make things right and have a thriving business. You may not have been here when Lance was pushing the Unleashed tunes and when Torrie wouldn't take it any further he met another Shaun who wouldn't push it either. Enter Shawn at SoCal now SSI , a one man tuning show that would find the max and give it to you. As the posse grew he became the sheriff, speak poorly of the tune or mention another tune the posse was quick to round you up and steer you into the corral or better yet have the threads close and edited. But that is so 2013, as the new year unfolds some of the deputies get restless along with the posse, a change is in the air. Some of the other tuners are catching up some of the posse defect. The number one deputies calls it quits number one I might add you know the one on the right. Most people like me don't care or need to know all the dirty details of what happened. What Shawn needs to do is throw away the badge, surround himself with good people and carry on. He is a good tuner who knows his trade and with anyone who is willing to push the limits a bit ch. Or son of. Lol I truly believe that he is trying to turn this around and just by the post here in this thread by some of his admins is proof. Hope you can survive this because you are a value able asset to the tuning world.
This is from a man who never got a tune I could safely datalog and no I didn't ask for a refund. Pay to play.

disturbed3003 - But if you send the payment through paypal and a gift to family and friends you cannot open a case since no transaction fees were charged.
Ya, knew/know that. And there's a time limit on filing - 45 days.

I registered on the ssi forum and logged in a minute ago. To clear up some confusion on my end, if you view the ssi forum as a guest, you cant see 90% of the content. Once I logged in I could see the customer service area and the 5.0 area, among several other sections that are simply not there if you are just viewing as a guest. When people were telling me have you looked at this or that on the forum, I was like wtf these people are on crack or something because that **** isnt there. Im still holding him to the wednesday deadline but just being able to see the forum and the sections that pertain to me, would have helped me a lot.

I think Shawn just posted that from here on out, all customers wanting tunes will have to register on the forum before they will be able to purchase.

Just curious, do you work for SSI? Because it sounds like you do. Should we take everything you have said in this thread as the official position of SSI?

Hmmmm good question! To be totally transparent, yep, I am an Admin of the SSI forum but oddly do not see myself as "working for the company." I have no financial interest in the company operations, nor do I have any plan in the near or distant future to ask. I am too busy with other stuff and I have a heck of a job that I really like to get involved in any of that. I help where and as I can.

At this point, my opinion carries exactly the same weight as any member of the forum - no more or less. As you can see, this is my personal account that has been around for years.

If anything changes, I have a hard time with the concept of "never," you will hear it straight up.

I'm another dude with an EB that likes to talk about and drive the snot out of my truck - that's why I'm tuned.

Pretty much if you dont register on the forum you will be clueless and behind the curve. It seems Shawn uses the forum as a way to stay on top of things.

I think your doing a fine job of representing the SSI forum here since the changes. It is good to see some positive posting on this forum from you guys, maybe some of the tension will be released. Everyone will benefit in the tuning world from a more relaxed mood in the SSI group. It would be great if some of the guys came back and posted more again there is a wealth of info over there that would benefit a lot of members on here.
