Let me start by saying I am an SSI Forum Admin. It seems important that I am supposed to say that.

Posting on F150.com will not solve a single thing regarding your interaction with SSI. I have spoken on the phone and in PM to many, many people and I have not seen anything from you. What will solve your situation is the following:

1) Request a refund. If you want to go that route, PM me here or on SSI, Corey and/or Shawn on SSI. We will get you taken care of - no bad blood and we will wish you well. Feel welcome to stay on the forum or leave, up to you. It really is all good if you want to go this route.

2) Be willing to be patient while the tuner and owner of SSI cleans up a significant mess that unraveled a couple of days ago. He has the help of quite a few people that are working very hard to get things back on track as fast as possible and it is happening. The TREX 5.0 tune will be out and Shawn's releases have historically been met with significant praise. No one doubts he is an unbelievable tuner. If waiting a couple of days is not possible, please see #1 above. At some point in the future, if you want to give the TREX a shot, c'mon back.

I have no idea who Erick is or how good or bad his tunes really are, but I would take him up on the offer regardless - that way you have an option to perhaps compare tunes in the future or perhaps a tune you are just flat out happy with (and let's face it - that's the goal!) Erick, that is a stand up thing to do, but you do not need to sling crap - everyone falls on hard times - you will too, and karma is a bitch.

As for offering free tunes, even if you choose #1, you might want to stick around the SSI forum and get in on Free Tune Fridays that have been and will continue to be a staple of the way things are done. SSI has been doing this for quite awhile and that ain't gonna stop now.

I am happy to help in any way I can. Try me.

I am trying to be a small piece of ending all of these stupid "tuning wars" and bring this whole topic onto a reasonable plane where people can have robust debates and discussions and yet keep it civil, respectful and mature. Who knows if this is possible or not, but it seems A LOT of people want that to happen.

I've PM'd you OP with my cell #. I want to help you get out of the transaction or answer any question you might have. If I don't have the answer, I will track it down for you!

A lot of people like who? Why doesn't Shawn become a sponsor on this forum and make it happen for himself?

ROFL jay. I think we still have a good 5.0 v EB fight left in us!

Reaper - You got me - I am making the assumption that people are tired of tune wars. Regarding sponsorship/vendor status, there are bridges pretty well singed that need to be built back. What you ask is a work in process. As for why it might or might not be shawn himself, one person can simply not do everything - especially in a growth business. Division of labor is a necessity and its always best to apply the right skills to the right tasks.

I wasnt posting on here to solve a problem, my intention was to let other potential customers know how business is run over there. I didn't know he was having all these problems until today, didn't know that the tunes werent even ready until I was told on here. That should have been something Shawn should have told me from the beginning instead of him making me think it would be just a few more days for 3 weeks. I sent you a PM if you want to help me out, or really help Shawn out.

I dont know why everyone gets all bent out of shape and wants to have "tunning wars", my only interaction with Shawn has been and will be on the phone and through email. Hes not my friend or enemy, I dont know him personally, I dont go hang out at his shop and shoot the **** drinking beers after work. Without knowing him and being in the loop, all I have to go on is what he tells me and it hasn't been much since this has started until today. If I had known I would have been a little more understanding.

I'm one that would like to see all this mess resolved and become more civilized. We have nothing but failure by degrading each other and bashing others threads. If something civil CAN come out of this we will ALL reap the rewards!
I have nothing to gain nor a say with any of the tuners but I think I can speak for a few that seeing the bashing gets old. Let bygons be bygons and let's all move forward and make it better for everyone involved!

Ehh if you wish. Just call me! Hahaha. I'm happy with the one I have now that runs strong and runs every time I need it to. Hopefully some of you guys with 5.0's will get to try the tunes. If the new one ends up being better than the T4 you will love it. The t4 is better than any of the others I've tried.

Seems to me like Shawn should take that first step in making things civilized and become a supporting vendor.
