Default 1/8th mile times yesterday

Howdy folks, just thought I'd let ya'll know how my 2011 F150 ECSB 5.0 with 3:55 gears did yesterday at Redline Raceway. My best pass of the day was a 9.0193 @ 78.42 MPH with a 2.0958 60'. My truck has a K&N cold air kit, 5 star 93 octane tune and a welded in flo-pro muffler.

I am getting a true dual exhaust put on tomorrow with Magnaflow mufflers and will return next weekend on M/T 265/40/18 drag radials to see how much of an improvement they make before I open my bottle for the first time! I am hoping for 8.0s on a 75 shot!!

My truck has 82,000 miles on it already and not one lick of trouble out of it so far!!!!

Nice. Props to you for racking up the mileage and still beating on your truck. After 2 trips to the track I have retired mine from racing.

Wow those are good times! The best I could do is a 9.68 with a 60' of 2.4. I've got the screw 5.0 with the canned tune running. This Friday I'm gonna try the 93 tune from MPT. 60' probably won't be any better with the crappy traction at the track I go to.

Oh, I did leave off one mod that made a huge difference even though it doesn't really show in my times yet but definitely made it easier to drive. They are:

My truck wheel hopped something fierce before I put them on but that problem is gone now. I still can't leave with anything more than idle without spinning like crazy though!

Ah... well done sir. I don't really have much wheel hop but I do have the wheel spin... all throughout first gear. I try and feather the start and when I think I'm hooking up, I try and give more gas inducing more wheel spin. Drag radials should fix that. How much were those traction bars?

With packaging they were $143.00 from Summit. I am getting an updated tune from Mike@ 5star before I go back. The truck has the capability of running mid 8's on the motor if I can get it to 60' good. For an example here is a time slip from my 94 Lightning at the same track on drag radials!

Now there's a nice 60'!!! Good price for the bars. What kind of tune are you getting from Mike?

Can you post up a link to those traction bars at Summit?

I remember back when my 5.0 Fox body ran 8.90's with bolt on's. Actually ran neck and neck with stock LS1 cars. Also, at my local track, new Hemi Challengers are barely in the eights. Those are some GOOD times sir!
