Default Something leaking?

Noticed this a couple weeks ago... this pic is taken from the passenger's side of the V8 engine in my '11 SCREW.

It's not oily, or wet as the pictures looks. In fact, it's damn-near dry, but I can't figure out the source of what this is. When I first noticed it, I really expected that dark area to be wet and oily. But I know it has to come from somewhere. There's no hole in that stand-off, where it looks like the wetness would be coming from. Not a huge concern, I guess.

I'm just curious. Anyone have any ideas?

I would say the valve cover has a crack.

That was my very initial thought too. But I don't think it does. Like I said, those dark areas aren't even oily when you touch them. And notice theres more than one area like that?

There's never any oil pooled up, no leaks on the garage floor, none anywhere else either... hellifiknow.

Have you check the spark plug? I would take the coil off and see if the plug is loose.

Good point, I'll have to look into that. Thanks!
