I finally went WOT with my stage 1 SoCal tune, checking for any knock counts, which with my knock count app for torque showed no knock.
This tunes is way faster than any tune I have from LMS without a doubt. And this is just the stage1 not the 5 or 5H.

Now it just stays in 4th, which I like. This shifts just about as ideal as possible for my driving.
Exactly! If I remember my 4-5 upshift is at 36-37 and my 5-4 downshift is at 33 to get around the 35mph speed limit. I did this also for the 40, 45 and 50 mph speed zones so it doens't want to shift all the time when in those zones

There were time if I cruised at 40mph and coasting in 4th gear, if you gave it gas sometimes it feel like it would do a hard downshift. It would still be in 4th so I can only assume it was the torque converter.

That is now gone too. (It didnt happen all the time..but on a certain stretch of road I could usually replicate it)
Exactly why it is as equally important to tune the shifting in these trucks . By no means is my strategy perfect as everyone has their own needs but that is the beauty of custom tuning with Shawn. But as I mentioned before, you need to pay very close attention to what you might want to change so Shawn can quickly make the change with accurate information.

Torque app works good on my vehicles, the kicker with that is a good obdII dongle.

I love how on the SoCal tunes you can load up with boost and avoid a downshift, especially on the hwy

Ok fellows me and Shawn have a good base tune going.... damn box codes are something else I tell you... my sticker says KTW4 but it ended up being KTW5 which has the same strategy code. It may take a few stabs but have confidence in Shawn bc he will get it no matter what the case is. Now we have a good base tune thats running faster then a spotted azz ape In a jet plane. On top of Shawn getting it right he done ALL this on a Sunday!! Now tell me one other tuner that would even think about doing that! One h3ll of a man ill tell u. Shawn is going to look over it and put all the goodies in it.. seems like it has most then them. Going play with the shifting later on. I wanna give matth shifting strategy a go.

On a side note...IF you feel or think anything is not right first things first pick up the phone and give Shawn a call! He cant fixed something he doesn't know about. ...

SHAWN (562) 305-3532.___ Socal Tuning= the best out there.... give him a shoot you want be disappointed!

Bayourunner. Have you ever have a Superchips device in your truck or taken it in to the dealership to get an ECM update?

Ya I agree. Because I figured it should have picked up some knock counts. I'm sure there is even some with the stock tune. I wish the torque app monitored knock, but it doesn't.

I can't get the live link to run on my laptop, it says I need to have Microsoft.net framework 4.0, but when I try and install that it say download didn't succeed. So I don't know how I'm gonna data log. Any ideas?
