With ANY company you are going to have a few slip through the cracks, no matter what type of business you run. If you are a 1 man show it's even more likely to happen... that being said I have no hesitation when I say that MOST are completely satisfied with Shawn's tunes and his customer service. People don't really come in and say "man the tunes were great" just like people don't come in to talk about the ecoboost unless they have a problem with it. For every satisfied customer you hear about there are 10 more you don't hear from... where as you likely hear from 8 or 9 out of 10 when it's negative.
Some people have pushed Shawns buttons (which are undoubtedly a hair trigger) and will never do anything but hold a grudge against him for pushing back harder... like you 051F, you can deny that, but you'd be lying. You've never used the product but you are on here constantly highlighting anything negative that you can find. No doubt upset that you don't have the tunes that MOST of his customers ABSOLUTELY LOVE. I guess that's easy to hate on.

What about my case? I gave Shawn props when it was due on numerous occasions, I ate crow when it was needed, and I have called him out when things were slipping. He said he does not do things via email, but yet I have gotten 6 emails from him today. I understand that things fall through the cracks sometimes which was why I let a lot slide since the 16th of last month. No matter what, you guys keep making more excuses for what is happening. You know what excuses are? They are reasons why you are not good enough to get it done. Doing what you say you will do and finding reasons why you can makes you earn my business. Not having every excuse in the book why you can't. So go ahead, make more excuses. You are not making the "Sheriff" look any better by doing so. Coffee is for closers, not posers.

A new Thread popped up, also specific to SoCal tunes. In an effort to not have redundancy in Thread topics, I suggest that the Title for this Thread I'm posting on now, be altered to show Specific to socal "ecoboost" tunes & the new Thread specific to "5.0" social tunes.

This would require the agreement of by the OP's of both threads.

The effect would be 2 threads, each specific to each engine. Makes more sense than a rebirth of the same Thread where the 5.0 & ecoboost tune talk is lumped together in the same thread.

So the new Title for this Thread would be:

SoCal Ecoboost Tunes

The new Title for the other Thread:

SoCal 5.0L Tunes

OP's would need to get back to me on this, preferable w/ a PM back up, if it sounds like a good idea to them.

2 Threads are the pretty much the limit w/o me kicking it upstairs for review, so I think that would be the best way to go.

Not a bad idea on the two threads. Be nice to have a 5.0 thread since mine was deleted instead of me being asked to edit it or the mod doing such. Obviously a bias was there as I know how moderating works being one on a car forum. Deleting it was unnecessary.

Ymeski, delete my thread and let Rok here have the honors of having a 5.0 Socal thread especially since I will soon not be a customer of SoCal and I don't own a 5.0. It sounds like Rok here would do a fine job of keeping up with it too. Besides, I am not sure I would want my name attached to a Socal thread after I get my money back anyways. The relationship could have been fixed but it went a different route.

You are right, I have never heard one positive review of an item on this entire forum, everything everyone posts is absolute negative! Especially from the socal camp, not one positive thing from any of their camp, ever. sarcasm! And 99 percent of statistics are made up on the spot by someone trying to defend their position, probably that one too! You really believe what you posted, that section I put in bold? Maybe you should re-read this thread, or actually check out the rest of the forum! You say I hold a grudge, , Shawn holds grudges, how many threads on his forum about how crappy the admins and mods are and how the people of this forum are sheep! I can quote them for you if you want! I don't see you over there complaining about this forum or its members being bashed!

Now you can call me a hater, you can say I am bashing Shawn, you can say I don't have any skin in the game simply because I don't own one of Shawn's tunes, and you can call me a troll if you like. That is your opinion and everyone is entitled to one. You don't like the fact I am pointing out Shawn not taking care of some people, well if he did you would not see me pointing that out. Maybe some people don't want to say anything negative about socal, look at how people treat the ones that do. The comments seem to be the same, it's his fault for not calling, it's his fault for not emailing, I have called him and got tunes instantly, or even better you are only posting negative stuff because you are a troll, have no skin in the game, or you don't own a tune! You guys call that bashing but again I am sure I can quote a few threads from his forum and really show you what bashing is!

I don't want his tunes at this point, he could not give me a free one, you think I would pay for it now? I'm not hating, just pointing out Shawn not living up to what he said he will do! I am happy with my stock tune, minus the shift strategy. I did not buy a two ton truck to drive it like a race car or race mustangs! If I wanted a go fast car I would have bought one!

This ^^^^^^ But Alkohalic it is your fault for not calling or emailing him, why have you not tried that yet! It's your fault your tunes don't work on your truck!

Yep. "Rok's" idea initially, & what gave me the idea to carry it through now.

I discussed this w/ you via PM. Wasn't me. I'm not on all the time, but trust me, none of the other Mods want to deal w/ any of this if they don't have to.

Obviously, each Mod may deal slightly different w/ the directives we're given. As mentioned after reviewing it, I believe it got trashes for the multiple mentions of site links & ph. # posted.

Personally, I thought a thread dedicated as 5.0 specific was a good idea myself & would have either edited or snipped a post or two, leaving the thread itself.

But whoever the Mod was, isn't intrenched it this whole thing as much as I am, & he thought that the best course in my absence.

Members need to understand this is all a balancing act now. I did everything but "beg" Shawn to keep his **** together, but in the end, he left us no choice.

Once he forfeited his Vendor & membership based in his actions, it made things extremely complicated for all concerned. I went out of my way to help him get signed up as a Vendor whether he admits it or not, and took no joy in his removal.

Alkoholic I'm not worried about my thread anymore just think it was handled wrong as I was giving my feedback for a product and the next day its gone. I do appreciate you suggesting me to control and keep a 5.0 one going though.

There is already a 5.0 tune thread from another user. I have posted my reviews in there as well as this thread. I am just for a dedicated 5.0 and Eco thread as it will help others looking for specific engine info make a choice. I was not gonna read 100+ pages to find 5.0 reviews in this thread as there was no dedicated one before. Maybe ymeski can pm him as I haven't seen him post on here is a few pages.
