I doubt a canned tune does that. Are there dynos to prove it?

The canned SCT tunes are worthwhile. They give a noticeable increase in power over stock, they are a pretty good tow tune as well. The trans shifting isn't any better than stock, however an SSI T4 tune will give a 3x better power boost than the SCT tunes and with much improved trans strategy.

If I got a 2013, I would get both a tune and an after market CAC. As it is, I am happy I never took my truck to the dealer for the condensation problem. I have only experienced it 4 times in 45000 miles.

Yeah, the 13s have a smaller CAC so it cools less and they detuned it some. Folks who have the latest from Ford on 2011 & 2102 models have noticed a significant decrease in power. They don't have the bigger turbos to help make up the difference. But a tune will more than make up for it.

I've got both on my '13, runs like a champ!

SSI T4 87 Heavy Tow Tune
I finally loaded my T4 87 octane heavy tow tune today to see how it is as a daily driver. I will do my first tow with it this Wednesday. It has way more power than the LMS or SCT 87 tow tunes, especially at the low end. Shifting is very smooth and it feels like a good daily driver. Given that it probably has less timing and boost than the T4 87 Street, it feels only a little less strong. I didn't do any WOT runs because I had my wife with me, but it pulls from a stop with smooth power and can quickly out distance other traffic with only a quarter throttle. It is also an improvement over the T3 Heavy Tow as the shifting is much smoother, especially the 1-2 shift. I will report on the towing after my camping trip.
Edit: Had a quick opening to pull into traffic on my morning commute and all the SSI excitement is there. The rear tires spun and the rear end drifted the turn.

Inebriated 4 ur safety
I found a drawback to the T4 today. It is a PITA to try to take off on slippery roads in the rain until you get used to how much throttle to give the truck. The slightest touch of the throttle causes the tires to break loose. It was damn near impossible for to keep the tires from breaking loosing in the sloppy mud at the Farm. I eventually had to change tunes to finish the work I was doing. It's okat though, I would take having to change this tune every time when going off road in the mud versus toning it down even the slightest. It is just too damn much fun o drive on road to change a thing.
