Default Snow Performance Water-methanol ?

Does anyone have the snow performance water-methanol kit on their EB? I want to get it but I wonder what the gains would be?

We are working on a kit now that will use 100% meth rather than a water/meth mix. On other EB platforms, it's worth .4-.5 in the quarter mile.

The graph below is from a Flex with our tune and axle-back vs. our tune, meth kit, and axle-back.

It has been a best of 12.8 in the 1/4 mile.

No problem! I'm confident that with the meth kit and tune, we'll see EB trucks in the high 12's as well.

The kits based on a 50/50 mix are usually less expensive. This is due in part to the higher cost of internal as well as external parts needed to hold up to 100% methanol "safely". Perfect example is type of hoses used.

Our kit allows for better cooling of the intake air charge which results in a denser air charge for more efficient power.

Includes:

Pump
Controller
High quality hoses, lines, and fittings
Nozzle
Methanol Tank

All pumps are hand built and pressure tested upwards of 250 PSI pressure on the test bench to assure leak free operation and proper current draw. The internal parts of the pump like the valves, sealing hardware, fasteners, wiring are all custom. This is not an off the shelf piece. The constant refinement of the same model pump used over 7 years yields a product free of defect greater than any other pump of its kind in the market. The selection of its internal parts are specific to us for this application.

Benefits:
  • Extra octane. This allows for much more aggressive tuning safely to make more power.
  • Better cooling of the intake air charge. This means denser air charge for more efficient power.
  • Methanol is a very high octane fuel that is extremely resistant to detonation with an excellent cost/benefit ratio. Its high latent heat of vaporization also makes it an excellent air charge cooler which means a denser mixture and more horsepower. Because of these characteristics, it suppresses detonation more effectively than ethanol or iso-propanol

Hopefully soon.

We have all of the parts in our hands, just need some time to get the truck in here. I just did a quick count and there are over 40 cars in here now.. we are slammed.

Couple quick questions..

How does this work for daily driving? Does it only kick in at certain RPM's?

How fast does the methanol run out when you fill a full tank on average, 100 miles, 1000 miles? Does the system shut itself off if you run out or is this a don't dare run or kaboom?

I know a lot of the kits are designed for pulling, is yours going to be more for perf or both?

Running 100% kit, does this make it so you have to run a special designed "juice" for it or would we still be able to run windshield washer fluid in a pinch?

What does this do for mileage?

I am thinking this kit for going out west with our sled trailer and a little extra help pulling some mtn passes. What I fear is a high maintenece system of constant filling at every gas stop or running out by accident and not having Livernois official methanol to add to it.. (seems some kits are like that..)
