A 3.55 should feel snappier if some of the fastest trucks are running a 3.55 rear end. Idk, my 3.55 rear end Ecoboost beats 4.10 raptors with the 6.2 and they have the same size wheels and tires as me too.

Both trucks are 3.55's though, so who knows... I couldn't tell a huge difference between 3.73's and 4.10's on the 94 Z71 I had though. It came with 3.73's in the front and 4.10's in the rear, which I figured out pretty quick when I put it into 4wd for the first time. Sooo, I found a junk yard rear axle with 3.73's and swapped rear axles. Driving for the first time after I did the swap, I could tell some difference, but not like "wow, it's so much weaker now" or anything. I miss that POS. lol

Just had my 12' in the shop for an oil change and to have a slight oil leak looked at (from cam sensor on valve cover) and they didn't say they flashed/updated the computer but my truck is shifting firmer and the exhaust has more of burble/rumble down low and has more grunt down low to boot. Even my wife noticed the exhaust tone was different down low so I'm going to ask them if they flashed it when I bring it back for the cam sensor seal next week. If it did get flashed to the newest strategy I like it!

Two indentical trucks built on the same day will still feel different. It's not uncommon to see power output vary as much as 25whp between two of the same vehicle. Maybe the '13 is a freak or your '12 is softy.

Yeah I know there are freak motors. Had a Harley with one. Maybe its just me. This morning the truck was more alive but still doesnt feel like the other one. May switch from premium gas to 87 either ethanol or w/o ethanol since its now in Iowa 87/87 w ethanol/or 91 with or without ethanol depending on gas station.

See if that makes a difference as the rented one was running on 87 ethanol

The transmission also learns your driving style. A rental is ridden like an abused red headed step child so she was ready for you to mount her. Your truck may be a like naive schoolgirl.
