bcb97, just plugged the 2 holes with the black rubber squares. They twist on and off and took 1 minute to add. Will it make a difference, who knows but i know now that there sealed from anything jumping up and into the skid plate openings. Just another item to give protection.

you can easily change your oil without removing the skid plate unless you have t rex arms. I just did mine and thought it was one of the easier oil changes I've ever done.

The one time i took mine off to clean underneath, the skid plate is pretty hefty. Solid and heavy. But i have seen his replacements and would love to ****** one up.

I can only guess but are the holes access points for drain plugs in the transfer case or even are they to drain material/water when you do get offroad?

When you change the oil filter, the catch basin for the oil coming out of the filter drains out in one of the holes.

Yeah, his skid plates are nearly twice as thick and weigh about 35+ pounds if I remember right... I will say the stocker is light years better than the plastic crap GM puts on their trucks...
