SCT TUNED 5.0, now cooling fan stays on
2012 5.0. 100% stock.
bought a SCT 3015 tuner. not custom tunes, just canned. tried to install 91 octane tune. install went fine. start truck and cooling fan comes on immediately. went for a drive, fan stayed on entire time. let truck cool down, then start again, fan still on.
NO DEFROST OR A/C is not turned on.
return truck to stock, fan is no longer on. install 87 octane tune, fan comes on immediately after tuning.
anybody run into this? SCT says on website there should be a "fan on" temp option, but mine does not have it.
I have shift pressures, shift firmness, torque reduction, rev/mile, gear ratio, WOT shift mph, rev limit, etc. but no fan temp settings?
going to contact SCT this afternoon, but figured I'd ask on here just to see.

talked to SCT yesterday. I need to email them my stock tune, so they can replicate certain settings that apparently arent in the canned tunes.
guess my tuner wont be benefitting me on my trip to FL, which is the main reason I bought the dang thing in the first place.

NO. once I found out it wasnt going to do me any good on my trip to FL, I threw it in the closet and havent looked at it since. I know getting a custom tune will fix the issue and between christmas spending and a bad month $$$ wise, there hasnt been the extra $$ to get my custom tunes done.
Franchi just said this morning that SCT just released a new update last week, so I may try and update the tuner and see if the parameters clear up this issue. not holding my breath.

Look into updates for the canned tune, I have the sct 3015 canned tune on my truck with no issues but I had to update the tune on the programmer as it wouldn't recognize my truck
