Default Rusto-boost?

Is it just me.... or is that rust?
No codes, within spec, dealer says I'm good to go!

Certainly looks like rust. Do you have condensation in your intercooler?

Probably, haven't looked. Probably not going to either.

Because I shouldn't have to. I know what I'll find, watered down oil. Then what, drop $500 on a catch can? No.

Ignorance is bliss.

Drill the intercooler hole, buy a cc or don't complain.

I don't think the computer will throw a code for some rust on the threads of a turbine stud.

I can't see ANY issues steaming form this.

back story is the truck is running crappy, can't hold an rpm/speed. Surges, has lag then takes off, hesitation. Head mech felt it on the test drive but they did nothing to diagnose it aside from checking codes and a reflash. I'm surprised it hasn't thrown something the way it's running.
