Default 2012 5.4... is 75K miles too high to switch to synthetic?

I have a 2012 E150 van with a 5.4 in it. It has 75,000 miles on it and it's clean as a whistle. I want to switch it to synthetic oil, is the mileage too high for that? I've switched older engines in the past, and they started leaking soon after. Thanks!

I believe the earlier synthetic oils didn't have enough seal swellers in them so some motors leaked. However, I also believe they remedied that. If you want to be safe, I think you could use something like pennzoil platinum high mileage which has addition seal swelling additives.

I was planning on using Mobil 1 like I use in my Ecoboost, it's just easier when it goes on sale at Wally World to buy a couple cases of it. Last time I tried switching was at least 16-17 years ago, on a 1995 Z28. Makes sense on the additives, thanks!

I had a 95 z28 also. They were notorious oil leakers.
