Default Opened 5.0 up today...

Traveled a few hundred miles on the interstate today and had a couple of instances where I had to really get on it. All I can say is wow! Pretty amazing how quickly it would go from 70 to 85. Accelerated very smooth and the truck felt solid. Actually put a smile on my face as I wasn't expecting the response.

Not looking to start a war, just thought I would post that I had some fun w/ it today. Pretty darn different than the 5.3 Vortec I came from.

Put a Magnaflow catback on it and that smile will widen.

Love the way it sounds on my truck when I open her up.

I agree, I enjoy the 5.0 every time I drive it. Just went over 1K miles in mine.

HA! You should hear the coyote with straight headers! That's how mine is right now, that is until the exhaust shop helps me out

To the OP, yes, it's way fun!

Can't wait until I get my 5.0 back.

Its been broken for 41000km. Should see some gains in power and mpg once I get it back. VROOM
