Well, they called and said won't be ready till tomorrow afternoon but they also ended up doing more than the gasket.
Called him back to ask about the other issues if they had any luck duplicating them, he said they ended up changing the PVC valve, said that's what was most likely causing the raw fuel smell in oil and possibly the clicking/popping with puffs of smoke. Also they changed the transmission separator plate for the groan going from P to D when cold.(which I haven't even heard in a month or so)
I have to say I'm pretty damn impressed and more than happy!!!

This leak is likely from where the head, block and timing cover come together. It leaks along the head gasket and out the side of the timing cover.
If the timing cover is not sealed properly at this point it will leak.
Choices are redo the entire timing cover seal or clean very good at the joining area of the 3 parts and seal with RTV on the outside.
