Default Oil leak on front cover, eb?

Anyone else run into this? Click the pictures for bigger.
2011 EcoBoost, I bought it in July of 11 but I don't drive it much. Only 5200 miles (have a work vehicle). I noticed it awhile back and cleaned it to see if only returned. I'm going to take it to the dealer in a week or so when I have time. It's slow, never have noticed a difference on the dipstick. Maybe one drop ever in the guard below it.

Yup, a couple of us have had the same leak. Hopefully, you'll have a decent mechanic who will do it right the first time.

Mine was fine. There are a couple of O rings that have to be replaced as well as the water pump gasket. I've seen mechanics take short cuts, only to have the leak appear on another section of the cover. Your dealer will probably put dye in the oil to see exactly where the oil is coming from (not that they need to but it's procedure). I'm not sure if there's a TSB but theres been quite a few that have been fixed where I go for service. Here's a pic at 5k...looks familiar doesn't it??

Is this at the bottom or ? I'm guessing so. I've not crawled around my engine much yet but would like to check it if someone can help me zero in on this?

Passenger's side front, next to the AC compressor mount.

The best way to see it is to take the skid plate off the front and look at the bottom of the engine toward the grill the front cover is just what it is titled it is the very front cover of the engine or timing cover same thing. If ti is leaking you should see some oil beaded up on the bottom very front closest to the grill hope that helps

Yup, you should see the silicon bead between the front cover and oil pan...if there is any oil on it, you have a leak.
