Cool Official SoCal Tuning Thread [With Dyno #ers]

Welp,

After some time with Shaun at AED in Sacramento, I have dyno numbers for SoCal and also numbers from my Unleashed tune for comparison. I did not go with an AED tune so no numbers there.

It was 100 degrees in Sacramento today during our dyno session, so I believe that numbers could be higher across the board with better air temps.

Running 91 octane

First... SoCal without methanol and with methanol. The meth is not fine tuned, we found a spot where it added power and left it there - I may try to fine tune it more in the future.

Now, overlaying the best non-meth runs for SoCal and Unleashed... (Dark Blue = SoCal & purple = Unleashed)

I dont think I have to say much, as the numbers speak for themselves. One thing I will note, however, is that KR for SoCal hit 3 maximum whereas Unleashed we saw KR up to 6 and it held there for far too long - NOT GOOD. This actually surprised me quite a bit.

Will hopefully find my way to the track soon. Shaun (AED) said the thing should be quite impressive on the track.

Enjoy.

Thanks Lance. Its really the norm for the east coast guys to falter like JDM, Unleashed..etc , and others because the have no idea about Cali 91. I tune in about 12 different states and remote tune around the world on a weekly basis for many big name builders. Sorry if I sound cocky....but I know. Ive watched guys like Jim from JDM screw **** up on a regular basis since 2002... but folks keep coming back for more. Good advertising i guess. Anyone who has a problem with this post I say ..BRING IT. Just like I do for my customers..I bring it.

Thank You
Shawn

All I know is that my butt dyno said that SoCal was the fastest out of my tunes and now that is definitely backed up on the real dyno. Not only faster, but safer based on the data too.

I'll be stickin' with you for all of my future tuning endeavors, Shawn. I might even be trading in for a 14' when they come out and you'll be tuning it.

That's good to hear! My 5 star tunes aren't too bad, only issue I have is that I need to let the truck warm up before I go full throttle or it will make a shuttering noise from the engine/turbos. But I am very impressed by SoCal and might have to test them out
