I'm in the same boat. I've been running the 5Star tune with both the 87 and 91 eco tune and I haven't seen a single amount of MPG improvement. In fact, I'd say its less than stock. Have you had any luck finding improvement?

I was thinking of:
91 performance/tow

87 performance/tow
93 performance/tow
Maybe 93 performance too as they are $10 extra at time of purchase.

I was going with 91 as I've been looking at gas stations and most have 91 where I live, very few have 93.

Opinions?
Looks like you've made some good choices there -- the consensus among most users is that MPG tunes are a waste. Just for kicks I wish I had gotten a 87 performance tune.

These would be my top 3

91 performance/tow
91 performance
87 performance/tow

87 perf/tow if gas prices are crazy, 91 perf/tow for my daily driver and 91 perf for fun or if I maybe had a good highway trip

Just a note to keep your motor happy.... Let it warm up before you try to build too much boost. I worked off a busy highway so in the winter I would try to get to highway speeds and with the 5* tunes they tended to stumble like the wastegate was wide open till like 3000rpm, so I just gave it more and more gas till it figured out that I wanted it to go.

It didnt seem very nice to do to my motor so I went back to the stock tune. Now I have changed jobs and work in the city so it is easier to wait till the motor gets to operating temps before honking on it. The 87 tune, for my truck, was horrid for this and less so for the 91 but still pretty obvious. Tried to work with 5* but they just kept dialing it down. Now I run their canned 91 perf/tow tune and go easy on it till it warms up.

Thanks!
I ordered from 5star today and ordered the sct x4 and the following tunes:
87 per/tow
91 per/tow
93 per/tow
91 per
93 per
and just for fun 87 economy to try it if I don't like power......said no one ever ....but it was only $10 so why not.

I ordered the tuner and 5 tunes as well. It will probably be left on 93 perf/tow. I just hope it doesn’t suck to drive while I’m not towing. I’ve read that it shifts later which to me would result in lower mpg when daily driving unloaded.

I contacted MPT for there free $25.00 update because of my real harsh downshifts with there tune that i had for 6 years now
I have been got about 3 updates in that time some were sad updates
Now they won't do business with me anymore because i live in California
I bought a SCT tuner from them in 2012 and gotten updates till now
even with free lifetime updates
They Suck

Having run LMS, SSi, 5-Star and MPT, I never had an MPT tune work like I wanted. When I asked that the harsh shifting be fixed, they just reduced power and it ran like crap. With LMS, the tow tune was so weak that I couldn't tell whether it was loaded or not, but the performance tune was scary fast. I ended up running SSi for daily driving (really fast with smooth shifting) and 5-Star for towing. This was about 3-5 years ago so things may have changed.
